Since our graduates last walked these halls as students, they have grown, built lives, and made their mark in communities around the world. No matter where life takes them, they remain part of the Dakota Adventist Academy, Plainview Academy, and Sheyenne River Academy alumni network. Our mission is to honor that shared history and keep those connections strong—reconnecting friends and generations of students, allowing them to engage and thrive together for years to come.

Behind every gathering is a dedicated group of regulars and part-time volunteers who give their time and talents to help our alumni network stay connected and engaged. We’re always grateful for those who contribute to this mission—and there’s always room for another helping hand to help us reconnect, engage, and thrive. Think you’d be a good fit? Our journey began in 1902 when Plainview Academy opened in Redfield, South Dakota. In 1904, Sheyenne River Academy welcomed students in Harvey, North Dakota. After Sheyenne River Academy closed its doors in 1977, Dakota Adventist Academy was established that fall, continuing the legacy of Adventist education for nearly five decades. When Dakota Adventist Academy concluded its program at the end of the 2025 school year, the narrative took a new direction. Today, this cherished campus serves as a vibrant space for our alumni network to reconnect, engage, and thrive, creating lasting memories with friends and fellow alumni.
